Friday's visit I found went quite well because we completed examples of all the processes that I wanted to try. Unfi=ortuently due to mobility John coukdnt go outside and see the cynotype develope but I think he was really engaged and with the casting he was also really involved. The only downpoint was that I felt more like I was teaching through the whole time and I think it would have been better if I planned more time just to talk like the week befor becaues I was running around a lot to do cynotype and get clay etc and then the most of the session I felt like I was just talking at John rather then talking to him. I was lucky that John was here last week but the possibility that not everybody will show up it daunting because these are personal projects based around specific memories so getting someone else may put the whole idea off balance. I was also really happy that John Brought in the bird picture we talked about last week and I can cynotype it he alo brought in his favourite artists album and I noted down his favourite song from there so we can incorporate this in the final piece. I was overall really happy with the progress we made and for the next workshop I'm going to plan more time sharing information so I can assetate onto the birds. John seems to be really interested and having an interest and collection of birds makes this collaboration reflect alot about John and his interest. I also would have liked to have done more cynotype images but I may have moved on more quickly from it because I anted John to get more time doing practical work (like casting) and with the cynotype process he did not get to do all of the steps. I'm looking forward to the next workshop.
